She is famous for her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), produced by her future husband Steven Spielberg. Since then, she's appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The portraiture work of Capshaw was displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was the child of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee of the airline). At the age of five, she was years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in education. Additionally, she was a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a teacher of special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri, as well as Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri.
