Kari Sam Wuhrer born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer's career began as she was still in her teens. Her most notable roles include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders as well as the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). Her father was the eldest of three children. While she was a kid she sang in clubs and went out to perform.
