Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish as well as English ancestry. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings. One of them is in each parent's prior marriages. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six when the family moved to Victoria in London. Taylor Joy claims that her move to England was a very difficult experience. She refused to learn English and was hoping to relocate back to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At 16, she left the school to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actress from a very young age.
